The program has been designed as universal software for security hybrid platforms functioning all together with wireless and wired Internet cameras, Television-cards, capture boards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the identical form and controls on the local and distant workstations. Users view MPEG-4 coded video and have full control of the program using network that surveillance station can be run with no screen, keyboard, and mouse connected. Software`s modular configuration drastically improves reliability because all parts proceed as independent applications. If one module fails, other units continue running. For example if the `capture` part freezes, `watchdog` restarts it instantly that users don`t notice anything because they are watching picture through a `playback` module. The program performs `cyclic` recording that the `disk full` situation never appears. The recording can be non-stop or it can be turned on by movement, human face detection, or by calendar. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance workstation as well as on remote server through Web interface. The program performs simultaneous video playback for event analysis from many webcams concurrently. Also recorded files can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded files can be encrypted and password protected.
